How to watch live TV without an antenna
If your TV shows «No signal», channels vanished after a rescan, or you live where an antenna just can't reach the towers, you have two options: fix over-the-air reception or watch over the internet. Here are both, in the right order.
Steps
1. Check the cable and the input
Make sure the coax cable is firmly connected at the wall and on the TV, and that the input is set to TV/Antenna (Air), not Cable.
2. Rescan channels
Run an automatic channel scan from the TV menu. Stations change frequencies: after each change channels disappear until you rescan.
3. Check whether your station moved to ATSC 3.0
Some stations now send their best signal in ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV), and some 3.0 channels are encrypted. Older TVs and tuner boxes can't decode them; RabbitEars.info lists what each station transmits.
4. Check what reaches your address
The FCC reception maps, RabbitEars or AntennaWeb show which towers you can receive and where to aim. In apartments, an indoor antenna by a window facing the towers often makes the difference.
5. Alternative: stream live channels
If the antenna still can't pick up stations, an internet connection is enough. Many networks and free ad-supported channels stream live at no cost.
6. Put it all in one app with JeyVision Pro
Open «World TV & Radio»: free public channel lists for the USA and 100+ countries, with a program guide. On Samsung and LG TVs search «JeyVision» in the TV app store; on PC and phone use the buttons below.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my TV say «No signal» when the antenna is connected?
Usually a loose cable, the wrong input, or an old channel scan after stations changed frequency. If every TV in the house is affected, check the antenna, amplifier or splitter.
Why did some channels disappear after ATSC 3.0?
Stations moving to ATSC 3.0 may keep a lower-quality 1.0 signal or drop it. 3.0 channels need a NextGen TV or tuner, and some are encrypted.
Is streaming live TV free?
Free ad-supported channels and many public streams cost nothing; you only use internet data, roughly 1-3 GB per hour in HD.
Does JeyVision Pro include cable networks or paid sports?
No. JeyVision Pro is a player: it includes free public channel lists only and lets you add your own M3U or Xtream playlists. It does not sell or include subscriptions.
Will I get my local news?
Many local stations stream for free on their own websites or apps; availability depends on the station and your area.
