IPTV on Chromecast with Google TV
Chromecast with Google TV is an HDMI dongle with a remote and the Play Store: apps install directly on the dongle, just like on an Android TV. JeyVision Pro also runs well on the HD model, which has little memory, because it loads playlists in chunks.
Steps
1. Search for JeyVision on Google TV
From the home screen go to Apps, then Search for apps, type or say “JeyVision” and install. Alternatively install it from the Google Play website on your phone and pick the Chromecast as the device.
2. Open the app and choose what to watch
On first launch you can try the free public channels of your country right away, or add your own M3U playlist or Xtream Codes account.
3. Add the playlist from your phone
With “Send from phone” a QR code appears: scan it, paste the URL or Xtream details on your phone and the playlist reaches the Chromecast without typing on the remote.
4. Watch with the Chromecast remote
Arrows and OK to pick channels, Back to return. Xtream movies and series have posters and detail pages; the EPG guide shows what is on.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with the classic Chromecast without a remote?
The classic Chromecast cannot install apps: in that case use JeyVision Pro on your Android phone and send the channel to the TV with the Cast button. Apps only install on Chromecast with Google TV.
Is it fine on Chromecast with Google TV HD?
Yes. The HD model has less memory than the 4K one, but JeyVision Pro loads lists in chunks and handles very large playlists.
The Play Store says it is not compatible
After an update the Play Store can take a few days to show the app on every device. Try again later or install it from the Google Play website choosing the Chromecast.
